Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Placitas, Corrales, Sandia Park, Santa Fe, Tijeras, New Mexico, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian practices independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. The role averages 3–4 unrushed appointments per day. Part-time opportunities are available on a flexible schedule of 2–5 days per week. The 2-day-per-week opportunity offers a guaranteed annual base salary of $55,000 plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for 3-, 4-, and 5-day schedules are available upon request. Some benefits are available only to full-time team members.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS degree.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must pass a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes.
- Conduct approximately 3–4 appointments per day, allowing unrushed time with families.
