Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love is hiring a part-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Portland, Salem, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Gresham, Milwaukie, Newberg, Oregon, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with independent mobile work supported by a community of veterinarians and support professionals, comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are flexible, with opportunities to work two to five days per week. Veterinarians average three to four unhurried appointments per day. Part-time opportunities for a two-day-per-week schedule offer a guaranteed annual base salary of $45,000, plus bonus opportunities and benefits. Compensation details for three-, four-, and five-day schedules are available upon request.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or BVMS.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Travel to appointments in the Portland, Salem, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Gresham, Milwaukie, Newberg, Oregon, and surrounding areas.
