About The Position

R+L Carriers is seeking a Mobile Systems Support Technician to join its team at the Corporate Headquarters in Wilmington, Ohio. The position involves assembling, maintaining, and repairing custom Mobile Data Terminals used to transmit data from vehicles. The technician installs components, units, and printed circuit boards according to specifications, meets assembly and repair time expectations, and packages finished products for customer shipment.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with computer technology in a Windows environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Well organized and able to multitask.
• Excellent soldering skills.
• Experience using electronic test equipment.
• Ability to use hand tools and small power tools.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and written work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Comply with assembly and repair time expectations.
• Package finished products for customer shipment.
• Install components, units, and printed circuit boards following specifications.
• Assemble, maintain, and repair custom Mobile Data Terminals used to transmit data from vehicles.
