About The Position

Provide guests with a fully stocked and well-maintained minibar. The role includes taking accurate inventory of in-room minibars, posting appropriate charges to guest room bills, cleaning and defrosting minibars, maintaining and stocking inventory, and ordering inventory from the storeroom. The attendant also monitors expiration dates and refrigerator temperatures, completes assigned paperwork, reports room deficiencies through work orders, and keeps guest rooms secure.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Must have an OLCC handlers card.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computational ability.
• Working knowledge of applicable sanitation standards.
• Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours at a time.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and continuously.
• Able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds regularly and continuously.
• Able to bend, squat, and lift up to 75 pounds regularly and continuously.
• Able to exert well-paced ability in limited spaces and reach different hotel floors in a timely manner.
• Able to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, climb, and perform repetitive motions, and have grasping, writing, sitting, walking, listening, hearing, and visual acuity abilities.

• Prior hospitality experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Distribute magazines during the first week of each month.
• Check and track items that will expire within one month.
• Keep minibars clean and free of dust.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators; every three months, remove beverages and wipe down shelves, as well as wipe the top and sides of the refrigerator.
• Clean the minibar snack tray every three months by removing snacks and wiping the tray with a microfiber cloth.
• Check refrigerator temperatures to ensure proper operation.
• Restock and maintain refreshment center inventory.
• Accurately charge items to guest folios.
• Complete assigned paperwork accurately and on time.
• Complete work orders for deficiencies found in guest rooms.
• Keep guest rooms secure at all times.
• Order inventory from the storeroom.
