About The Position

The Sales Manager sells homes manufactured by Cavco Industries to builder/developers, company-owned, exclusive, and/or independently owned retailers. The role focuses on growing business, maintaining strong customer and internal relationships, achieving the assigned division’s profit plan, developing key accounts, coordinating trade shows and sales meetings, identifying market trends and opportunities, and resolving customer service issues. Duties described are general and may not include every responsibility; associates may be asked to perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a relevant related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in retail store functional management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparing presentation materials and presenting information one-on-one and in groups.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth by developing new customer relationships and expanding business with existing customers.
• Build and maintain relationships with supervisors, managers, administrative staff, factories, vendors, and community managers to promote responsive teamwork and meet client service levels.
• Achieve the assigned division’s profit plan and ensure accuracy of sales numbers, margins, expenses, and overall profitability.
• Develop key account relationships.
• Lead and attend trade shows; schedule sales meetings, coordinate representatives, and plan trade show materials logistics.
• Provide insight on market trends and opportunities.
• Ensure customer service issues are resolved.
