About The Position

The Merchandiser presents products to attract consumers at customer retail locations and services and maintains multiple bulk accounts. The role involves merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following quality guidelines. The Merchandiser follows plan sets and planograms and communicates with store management and cross-functional personnel. The coverage area is Johnson City, Tennessee. Pay is $17.17 per hour plus mileage. The schedule is Monday day shift and Friday through Sunday evening shift.

Requirements

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively to satisfy customers with varied needs and expectations.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including repetitive lifting of 50 pounds.
Ability to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision.
Critical thinking skills.
Valid in-state driver's license.
Excellent driving history.
Proof of an insurance policy verifying current coverage for liability and property damage of at least $50,000 per person, $100,000 per accident, and $50,000 property damage, with a deductible of $500 or less, effective from the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on displays and shelves according to procedures and special programs.
Physically move products from the backroom and place them on display.
Create and distribute point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where permitted.
Fill and merchandise Fastlane merchandisers and vendors, and check vendors to ensure proper operation.
Organize and maintain the backroom by stacking and arranging products by package and flavor.
Arrange the return of empty pallets and shells, damaged products, and out-of-date products to the branch.
Foster business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests and discussions about pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities.
