About The Position

Jacent is seeking a Merchandiser to place products, build displays, and work with store personnel in local retail stores. Merchandisers work independently and with teams, cultivating relationships with in-store management and helping retailers create effective merchandising programs. The role offers 10 hours per week, daytime hours, and a predictable schedule. Pay depends on experience. Paid training, mileage and travel time between stores, cell phone reimbursement, and advancement opportunities are offered. New hires in eligible requisitions receive a $500 sign-on bonus, payable in two installments after 60 and 120 days of continuous employment. Applicants must reside within 20 miles of Cherokee, Iowa 51012 and be able to meet the role’s physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter and quick learner who enjoys working independently and in a team setting.
• Be comfortable in changing environments.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation: standing and walking for 3–8 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and crouching, bending, twisting, and performing repetitive hand movements.
• Possess excellent organizational skills.
• Communicate effectively and build relationships with business partners.
• Reside within 20 miles of Cherokee, IA 51012.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with in-store management.
• Execute merchandising resets.
• Build retail displays.
• Merchandise impulse items on clip strips and J-hooks.
• Implement plan-o-grams.
