About The Position

Jacent is hiring a Merchandiser to work in stores in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. Merchandisers place products, build displays, and work with store personnel in their local communities. The role involves cultivating relationships with in-store management, executing merchandising resets, building retail displays, merchandising impulse items on clip strips and J-hooks, and implementing plan-o-grams.

The position offers daytime hours and a predictable schedule, with 10–15 hours per week. Pay depends on experience. New hires in eligible requisitions receive a $500 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments after 60 and 120 days of continuous employment. Paid training, mileage and travel time between stores, cell phone reimbursement, and advancement opportunities are also offered.

Requirements

• Be a self-starter and quick learner who enjoys working independently and in a team setting.
• Be comfortable in changing environments.
• Be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation: standing and walking for 3–8 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and crouching, bending, twisting, and performing repetitive hand movements.
• Possess excellent organizational skills.
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with business partners.
• Reside within 20 miles of Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
