About The Position

Jacent is hiring a Merchandiser to work in local retail stores, placing products, building displays, and working with store personnel. Merchandisers execute merchandising programs in stores and help create inspired shopping experiences that support increased sales. The role offers daytime hours and a predictable schedule, with 5–10 hours of work per week. Pay depends on experience. Paid training, mileage and travel time between stores, cell phone reimbursement, and advancement opportunities are offered. Eligible new hires receive a $500 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments after 60 and 120 days of continuous employment.

The position is suited to a self-starter and quick learner who can work independently and as part of a team, adapt to changing environments, stay organized, and build relationships with business partners. Candidates must reside within 20 miles of Yankton or Vermillion, South Dakota, and be able to meet the role’s physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Reside within 20 miles of Yankton or Vermillion, South Dakota.
• Be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation: standing and walking for 3–8 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and crouching, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
• Be a self-starter and quick learner who enjoys working independently and in a team setting.
• Be comfortable working in changing environments.
• Possess excellent organizational skills.
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with in-store management.
• Execute merchandising resets.
• Build retail displays.
• Merchandise impulse items on clip strips and J-hooks.
• Implement plan-o-grams.
