Mental Health Therapist
About The Position
CVS Health is hiring a full-time, fully remote Mental Health Therapist for its MinuteClinic team. The position is 40 hours per week and supports patients ages 13 and older. Therapists provide psychosocial support and education to individuals, couples, and families, using evidence-based care and assessment and treatment-planning tools to support continuity of care. The role offers autonomy to grow the practice without the burden of payor contracting, credentialing, or billing, along with clinical-team support, training, professional development, and career growth opportunities. The therapist must hold an active, unencumbered qualifying license in a specified state and be willing to obtain additional state licenses based on business needs.
Requirements
- Current, active, unencumbered license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Washington, D.C.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses based on business needs.
- Excellent diagnostic, care collaboration, treatment-planning, and short-term counseling skills, including use of evidence-based methodologies.
- Completed master’s degree program from an accredited college or university.

- Deep understanding of the psychosocial aspects of illness and health.
- Technology proficiency and comfort using electronic health record systems and multiple platforms.
- Understanding of insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare billing requirements.
- Strong crisis intervention skills.
- Previous experience in a mental health clinic or hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychosocial support and education to individuals, couples, and families ages 13 and older.
- Use evidence-based methodologies, including motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, in diagnostic work, treatment planning, and short-term counseling.
- Collaborate on patient care and support continuity of care using assessment and treatment-planning tools.
- Obtain additional state licenses as needed based on business needs.
