Mental Health Therapist
About The Position
Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health is seeking Mental Health Therapists for current and future opportunities. This evergreen posting builds a pipeline of qualified candidates, and an immediate opening may not be available when an application is submitted. The therapist provides evidence-based mental health treatment to adults, with a blend of individual and group therapy. Approximately 50–65% of the role is direct patient care; remaining time is devoted to documentation, treatment-team collaboration, and case management. The role works in an interdisciplinary setting and emphasizes realistic caseloads, patient-centered care, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care.
- At least 2 years of direct clinical experience providing mental health treatment.
- Comfort using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and professional growth.
- Active Maryland licensure as LGPC, LMSW, LCPC, LCSW, or LCSW-C.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group psychotherapy using CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Lead process, psychoeducational, and skills-based groups focused on emotional regulation, coping, and mental wellness.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations.
- Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and peers in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.
- Support patients in understanding their diagnoses and building insight for long-term recovery.
- Coordinate care with families, referral sources, and external providers.
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time.
