About The Position

CVS Health is hiring a full-time remote Mental Health Therapist to support clients ages 13 and older in Washington state and/or California. The therapist joins the Minute Clinic team and provides psychosocial support, education, and evidence-based mental health care to individuals, couples, and families. Therapists have autonomy to build and grow the practice, supported by a clinical care team and without responsibility for payer contracting, credentialing, or billing. The role includes access to assessment and treatment-planning tools, training, and opportunities for career growth and professional development. The hired candidate must be willing and able to obtain additional state licensure as needed.

Requirements

• Hold a current, active, unencumbered license as an LCSW, LICSW, LPCC, LMHC, or LMFT.
• Be licensed to practice in California and/or Washington state.
• Be willing and able to obtain additional state licensure, including licenses for multiple states based on business needs.
• Demonstrate excellent diagnostic, care collaboration, treatment-planning, and short-term counseling skills using evidence-based methodologies.
• Complete a master's degree program at an accredited college or university.

• Experience with, or willingness to learn and adapt to, virtual therapy delivery.
• Deep understanding of the psychosocial aspects of illness and health.
• Technology savvy and comfortable using electronic health record systems and engaging on multiple platforms.
• Understanding of insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare billing requirements.
• Strong crisis intervention skills.
• Previous experience in a mental health clinic or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial support and education to individuals, couples, and families ages 13 and older.
• Deliver short-term counseling using evidence-based approaches, including motivational interviewing, problem-solving therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
• Conduct diagnostic assessment and treatment planning, and collaborate in care.
• Use assessment and treatment-planning tools to support continuity of care.
• Obtain additional state licenses to practice in multiple states as required by business needs.
