About The Position

Included Health is seeking a fully remote Mental Health Therapist licensed in Virginia to provide virtual behavioral healthcare. The therapist will join a team of mental health clinicians under the guidance of a Behavioral Health Supervisor and provide individual therapy sessions through the company’s telehealth platform. The role focuses on patient care and documentation; Clinical Operations manages scheduling, billing, credentialing, onboarding, and patient verification. The position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor role with fee-for-service compensation of $65.61 per visit hour. Clinicians can set their own hours and have access to a supportive clinical team.

Requirements

• Ability to practice independently without ongoing clinical supervision.
• Keep up to date with continuing education and knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
• Experience with technology and understanding of digital tools and platforms.
• Hold an active, unrestricted clinical license in the state of primary residence; the required license must be in Virginia.
• For LCSW applicants: Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program and at least 2 years of unsupervised, post-licensure psychotherapy treatment experience.
• For LPC/LMHC applicants: Master’s degree in Counseling from a CACREP-accredited program and at least 3 years of unsupervised, post-licensure experience.
• For LMFT applicants: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from a COAMFTE-accredited program and at least 3 years of unsupervised, post-licensure experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual counseling and psychotherapy.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and compile patient medical data, including health histories and mental status examination findings.
• Determine and implement behavioral health treatment plans.
• Evaluate results of mental health assessments and provide evidence-based therapeutic support to patients.
• Conduct monthly chart reviews as assigned as part of the peer review quality-assurance process.
