Mental Health Therapist
About The Position
Included Health is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide virtual behavioral health care to patients across their healthcare journey. This 1099 independent contractor role is 100% remote and operates under the guidance of a Behavioral Health Supervisor. The therapist delivers individual therapy sessions through Included Health’s telehealth platform, focusing on patient care and documentation. Clinical Operations staff manage billing, scheduling, credentialing, patient verification, and onboarding, and the therapist has ongoing access to a supportive clinical team. The role uses a fee-for-service model, with no-shows and late cancellations covered at the full rate. Therapists can set their own hours. Compensation is $65.61 per visit hour in the United States; the recruiter will provide further details during the hiring process.
Requirements
- Ability to practice independently without ongoing clinical supervision.
- Keep up to date with continuing education and knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial interventions.
- Experience with technology and understanding of digital tools and platforms.
- Hold an active clinical license in the state of primary residence.
- For LCSW applicants: Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program; at least 2 years of unsupervised, post-licensure psychotherapy treatment experience; active and unrestricted LCSW license in Pennsylvania.
- For LPC/LMHC applicants: Master’s degree in Counseling from a CACREP-accredited program; at least 3 years of unsupervised, post-licensure experience; active and unrestricted LPC/LMHC license in Pennsylvania.
- For LMFT applicants: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from a COAMFTE-accredited program; at least 3 years of unsupervised, post-licensure experience; active and unrestricted LMFT license in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities
- Provide virtual remote counseling, psychotherapy, and comprehensive mental health evaluations.
- Compile patient medical data, including health histories and mental status examination findings.
- Determine and implement behavioral health treatment plans.
- Evaluate results of mental health assessments and provide evidence-based therapeutic support to patients.
- Conduct monthly chart reviews as assigned as part of the peer review quality-assurance process.
