About The Position

Valera Health is hiring a Mental Health Therapist in Maryland to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental healthcare through telehealth. The therapist will serve patients ages 12 and older, including people with a range of needs from anxiety to schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Care is delivered primarily by video or telephone, with administrative support for scheduling, billing, and prior authorizations. Therapists work alongside a multidisciplinary provider community and receive technology and EMR systems, clinical support, and opportunities for training. The role offers remote work and a self-set schedule. Compensation for W-2 therapists totals approximately $50,000–$89,000, consisting of a base salary and monthly productivity incentive; an onboarding incentive is added to the first three paychecks during the ramp-up period.

Requirements

• Active Maryland LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT license.
• At least 1 year of one-to-one clinical experience using evidence-based treatment.
• Experience with EMR documentation and treatment planning.
• Reliable access to technology, including high-speed internet and a private workspace for confidential sessions.
• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
• Training in EMDR, DBT, or other specialized modalities.

Responsibilities

• Render evidence-based treatment to patients ages 12 and older.
• Provide individualized mental health services primarily through telehealth video or telephone.
• Conduct intakes and provide individual, group, and family therapy when applicable.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services.
• Complete and maintain documentation accurately and on time in accordance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
