Mental Health Provider (Psychiatric PA or NP) - Lake Highlands
About The Position
Geode Health is recruiting a Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient psychiatric care in the greater Dallas–Fort Worth market. Care may include initial mental health evaluations, individualized treatment planning, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy as clinically appropriate. Providers use evidence-based, measurement-based care to track patient outcomes and inform treatment. They work as part of an integrated team with psychiatrists and mental health therapists to coordinate medication management and psychotherapy. The role has a hybrid schedule. Most providers work three days onsite and two days providing telehealth, with a possible four-day work week. More onsite work may be expected initially while building a patient caseload. There are no nights, weekends, or on-call duties; after-hours urgent support is provided. Geode offers support with building caseloads and administrative, marketing, and operational needs.
Requirements
- Active Psychiatric PA or PMHNP license in the state of Texas.
- Active DEA license.
- Passion for high-quality care.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills.
- Proficiency using an EMR system and maintaining accurate, up-to-date electronic health records.
- Desire and ability to see a general spectrum of mental health conditions.
Nice To Haves
- More than one year of professional work experience in an Advanced Practice Provider role.
- Experience in an outpatient work setting.
Responsibilities
