About the position
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Assistant Designer to join our passionate design team focused on men's apparel. As an Assistant Designer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design process, assisting in the creation of innovative and forward-thinking designs. It's important that this person thrives in a fast-paced environment and can multi-task. A positive attitude is key.
Responsibilities
- Support Sr. Designer on daily tasks in the design process
- Conduct ideation through deep dive research online and in-person market research
- Create and update CADs in the development process
- Assist in launching, developing, and tracking trim, fabric, prints, and styles
- Complete PLM/BOMs with accuracy
- Participate in fittings
- Document and take detailed notes in cross-functional weekly meetings and milestone meetings
- Organize and track inspiration samples, vendor samples, and development samples
- Create and organize fabric and trim binders seasonally
- Build and maintain Sr. Designer's line-plan / 1-pager seasonally
- Assist in weekly prototype reviews by gathering and prepping samples
- Assist in creating seasonal concept boards for presentations/milestone meetings
- Adhere to design calendar deadlines and timelines, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Be knowledgeable with all styles to continuously scrub through product
- Support Merch tasks, proto reviews, and Style Outs
- Provide support for driving capabilities, samples, inspiration, and various projects
- Support Sr. Designer with styling and organizing of samples / Setting up, breaking down design spaces
- Collaborate cross-functionally with assistants company-wide
- Check in with Design Operations Manager for any support needed
- Support VP of Design on daily tasks such as shipping, printing out documents, creating layouts with VP's inspiration, and building assets.
