About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner supports residents in a memory care neighborhood by building human connections, learning residents’ interests and abilities, and working patiently to create and carry out appropriate engagement plans. The role helps guide residents through daily life, prepares physical spaces for meals, events, and nighttime routines, and documents resident care and changes in condition. The position also assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position at Fremont in Springfield, Missouri. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $18–$23 per hour. The role requires active, hands-on assistance with residents and the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the day.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive and energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Have computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including assisting persons after a fall.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connections with residents through empathy, particularly during vulnerable moments.
Observe residents to discover their interests and abilities, and collaborate on appropriate engagement plans and strategies.
Prepare resident areas and shared spaces for daily routines, meals, and events.
Partner with residents to support daily activities from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
