About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner at Westbury in Columbia, Missouri, supports residents in a memory care setting by building empathetic human connections, learning about residents’ interests and abilities, and implementing appropriate engagement plans. The role helps shape residents’ daily experiences by preparing spaces and rooms for activities, meals, and nighttime routines, and partners with residents throughout their daily lives. The position also includes documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position scheduled Friday and Saturday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The stated pay range is $20–$25 per hour. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping; lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds; and helping residents sit, stand, walk, and recover after a fall.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents during vulnerable moments.
Observe residents’ interests and abilities and collaborate on suitable engagement plans, implementing strategies patiently.
Prepare resident spaces and shared areas for meals, events, and nighttime routines to support residents’ daily experiences.
Partner with residents in daily activities throughout the day and night.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
