About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner works in a memory care neighborhood at Fremont in Springfield, Missouri, supporting residents in daily life and creating human connection through empathy. The role involves learning about residents’ interests and abilities, collaborating on appropriate engagement plans, and patiently implementing strategies. The Support Partner also prepares and maintains resident spaces and activity areas to support residents’ daily experiences, partners with residents throughout daily routines, documents care and changes in condition, and assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position scheduled Mondays and Sundays from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The stated pay range is $18–$23 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Have computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with mobility and after a fall.
Obtain criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents, especially during vulnerable moments.
Observe and learn about residents’ interests, abilities, and individual characteristics.
Collaborate to create engagement plans and patiently implement strategies.
Prepare resident and activity spaces for daily routines and events, including dining areas, the library, and residents’ rooms.
Partner with residents in daily life from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
