About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner at Westbury in Columbia, Missouri, supports residents in the memory care neighborhood by fostering empathetic human connection and learning about residents’ interests, abilities, and individual identities. The role collaborates on and carries out appropriate engagement plans with patience, and helps shape residents’ experiences by preparing dining and activity spaces as well as rooms for nighttime routines. The Support Partner partners with residents throughout daily life, from waking to bedtime, documents resident care and changes in condition, and assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position working Monday and Sunday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The listed pay range is $20–$25 per hour. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping, lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds, and helping residents sit, stand, walk, and recover after falls.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with mobility and after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents during vulnerable moments.
Learn residents’ interests, abilities, and individual qualities; collaborate on and implement appropriate engagement plans with patience.
Prepare and arrange resident and shared spaces for daily activities and routines, including breakfast, events, and nighttime routines.
Partner with residents in daily life from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
