Memory Care Support Partner 3pm-11pm $18.50-21.50 (Part Time)
About The Position
The Memory Care Support Partner creates human connections with residents during vulnerable moments and supports their quality of life through empathetic, patient care. The role involves learning residents’ interests and abilities, collaborating on appropriate engagement plans, and implementing those strategies. The Support Partner prepares residents’ physical environments for daily activities and routines, partners with residents throughout daily life, documents care and changes in condition, and assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position at Carriage Court in Hilliard, Ohio. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $18.50–$21.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
- Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Build human connections with residents through empathy, particularly during vulnerable moments.
- Observe residents to understand their interests, abilities, and individual characteristics.
- Collaborate on resident engagement plans and implement appropriate strategies with patience.
- Prepare physical spaces for resident activities and routines, including dining, events, and nighttime routines.
- Partner with residents in daily life from waking through bedtime.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
