About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner works with residents in a memory care neighborhood, building human connections through empathy and learning about each resident’s interests, abilities, and individual identity. The role collaborates on and implements appropriate engagement plans, helping residents participate in daily life from waking through their nighttime routine. The position also prepares and arranges resident and shared spaces for daily routines and activities, documents resident care and changes in condition, and helps orient team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position at Carriage Court in Hilliard, Ohio, scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $18.50–$21.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assist people after a fall.
Receive criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

Build human connections with residents and demonstrate empathy during vulnerable moments.
Learn residents’ interests and abilities, collaborate on engagement plans, and implement strategies patiently.
Prepare resident rooms and shared spaces for daily routines, meals, and events.
Partner with residents in activities of daily life, from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist individuals after a fall.
