About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner works with residents in a memory care neighborhood, creating human connections through empathy and learning about each resident’s interests, abilities, and individual identity. The role involves collaborating on and implementing appropriate engagement plans with patience, and preparing the physical environment for residents’ daily activities and routines, from meals and events to nighttime routines. The Support Partner partners with residents throughout daily life, documents resident care and changes in condition, and assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position at Carriage Court in Hilliard, Ohio. The stated schedule is Friday and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $18.50–$21.50 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents, particularly during vulnerable moments.
Observe residents to understand their interests, abilities, and individual identities.
Collaborate to create engagement plans and implement strategies patiently.
Prepare resident spaces and shared areas for meals, activities, events, and daily routines.
Partner with residents in the facets of daily life, from waking to bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
