About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner creates human connections with residents and supports their daily lives in a memory care neighborhood. The role involves understanding residents’ interests and abilities, collaborating on engagement plans, and implementing strategies patiently. The Support Partner prepares resident and shared spaces for daily activities and routines, partners with residents throughout the day, documents resident care and changes in condition, and assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This part-time position is located at Carriage Court in Hilliard, Ohio, and is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $18.50–$21.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Possess computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents, particularly during vulnerable moments.
Observe residents’ interests and abilities, collaborate on appropriate engagement plans, and implement strategies patiently.
Prepare dining rooms, libraries, resident rooms, and other spaces for activities and daily routines.
Partner with residents to support their daily lives from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including assisting people after a fall.
