Memory Care Support Partner 7am-3pm $18.50-21.50 (Full Time)
About The Position
The Memory Care Support Partner creates human connections with residents during vulnerable moments and learns about each resident’s interests, abilities, and individuality. The role involves collaborating on and implementing appropriate engagement plans with patience, and preparing resident spaces and shared areas for daily routines and activities. The Support Partner partners with residents throughout daily life, documents resident care and changes in condition, and assists with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a full-time position at Carriage Court in Hilliard, Ohio, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The pay range is $18.50–$21.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Have a positive and energetic attitude and a strong commitment to residents.
- Possess computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
- Be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Create empathetic human connections with residents, especially during vulnerable moments.
- Observe residents’ interests, abilities, and individual characteristics; collaborate on engagement plans and implement strategies patiently.
- Prepare dining rooms, libraries, resident rooms, and other physical spaces for residents’ daily routines and activities.
- Partner with residents in daily life, from waking through bedtime.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
