Memory Care Support Partner 11pm-7am $18.50-21.50 (Full Time)
About The Position
The Memory Care Support Partner creates human connections with residents during vulnerable moments and supports their quality of life. The role involves learning residents’ interests and abilities, collaborating on engagement plans, and patiently implementing strategies. The Support Partner prepares resident spaces and shared areas for daily activities and nighttime routines, and partners with residents in the activities of daily life. The position also includes documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a full-time overnight position at Carriage Court in Hilliard, Ohio. The scheduled shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Pay is $18.50–$21.50 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude and willingness to care for residents.
- Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Create empathetic human connections with residents.
- Observe residents’ interests and abilities, collaborate on appropriate engagement plans, and implement strategies patiently.
- Prepare dining rooms, libraries, resident rooms, and other spaces for daily activities and nighttime routines.
- Partner with residents in all facets of daily life.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including assisting people after a fall.
