About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner creates meaningful human connections with residents and supports them through daily life in a memory care neighborhood. The role involves learning about residents’ interests and abilities, collaborating on engagement plans, and patiently implementing strategies. The Support Partner prepares resident spaces and shared areas for meals, events, and nighttime routines, and partners with residents throughout their daily routines. The role also includes documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a full-time position at Boulevard St Charles in St. Charles, Missouri, scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $18–$24 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive, energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Have computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
Pass criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents, particularly during vulnerable moments.
Observe residents to learn about their interests and abilities, and collaborate on and implement appropriate engagement plans.
Prepare dining rooms, libraries, resident rooms, and other spaces for meals, events, and residents’ routines.
Partner with residents to support daily activities from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
