Memory Care Support Partner 7am-3pm $18-24 (Part Time)
About The Position
The Memory Care Support Partner works with residents in a memory care neighborhood, building human connections through empathy and learning about each resident’s interests, abilities, and individual needs. The role includes collaborating on and carrying out appropriate engagement plans, helping residents through all facets of daily life, and preparing resident and shared spaces for daily routines and activities. The position also requires documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position at Boulevard St Charles in St Charles, Missouri. The schedule is Monday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $18–$24 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
- Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Create human connections with residents through empathy, including during vulnerable moments.
- Observe residents to understand their interests, abilities, and individual characteristics.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies patiently.
- Prepare dining and activity spaces and resident rooms to support residents’ daily experiences and routines.
- Partner with residents to support daily life from waking through bedtime.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist persons after a fall.
