About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner creates empathetic, meaningful connections with residents during vulnerable moments and learns about each resident’s interests, abilities, and individuality. The role collaborates on and implements appropriate engagement plans with patience, and prepares resident spaces and shared areas to support successful daily experiences. The Support Partner assists residents throughout daily life, from waking through bedtime, documents resident care and changes in condition, and helps orient team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position at Boulevard St Charles in St Charles, Missouri. The schedule is Monday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $18–$24 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive and energetic attitude and enjoy working with residents.
Possess computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall.
Pass criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

Create human connections with residents through empathy, particularly during vulnerable moments.
Observe and learn about residents’ interests, abilities, and individual characteristics.
Collaborate on appropriate resident engagement plans and implement strategies patiently.
Prepare resident rooms and shared areas for daily activities and routines, including dining and events.
Partner with residents in daily life from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
