Memory Care Support Partner 3pm-11pm $18-24 (Full Time)
About The Position
The Memory Care Support Partner creates human connections with residents, particularly during vulnerable moments, and helps residents achieve the facets of daily life from waking through bedtime. The role involves learning each resident’s interests and abilities, collaborating on appropriate engagement plans, and patiently implementing strategies. The Support Partner prepares and arranges physical spaces and resident rooms to support daily activities and routines, documents resident care and changes in condition, and assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a full-time position at Boulevard St Charles in St Charles, Missouri. The scheduled shift is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Pay is $18–$24 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude and a willingness to work with residents.
- Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Criminal clearance.
Responsibilities
- Create human connections with residents through empathy, particularly during vulnerable moments.
- Observe and learn residents’ interests and abilities, collaborate on appropriate engagement plans, and implement strategies patiently.
- Prepare resident spaces and shared areas for activities and daily routines, including dining, events, and nighttime routines.
- Partner with residents in daily life from waking through bedtime.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
