About The Position

Come join our team at Wildwood located at 3002 South John Duffy Drive, Joplin, MO 64804! We are looking for someone (like you) to be an Advocate of Empathy, a Patient Observer, a Master of the Mise en Scène, and a Life Partner. This role involves creating human connection with residents, discovering their interests and abilities to create engagement plans, setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments, partnering with residents in daily life, and documenting resident care and changes in condition. You will also assist with the orientation of new team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are, and collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, setting up spaces for events, and preparing resident rooms for their nighttime routine.
Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
