About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Westbury in Columbia, MO. This part-time role focuses on creating a supportive and engaging environment for residents in our memory care neighborhoods. You will be an advocate of empathy, a patient observer, a master of the mise en scène, and a life partner to our residents, ensuring their well-being and quality of life. This position requires excellent documentation skills and the ability to assist with orienting new team members. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be responsible for understanding and demonstrating empathy, creating human connections with residents, discovering their interests and abilities to develop appropriate engagement plans, and setting the stage for a successful day through environmental preparation. You will partner with residents throughout their daily lives, from waking to sleeping, and meticulously document their care and any changes in their condition.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about our Residents.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Set the stage for a successful day by preparing the dining room for breakfast, setting up the library for an event, and preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
