About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner at Kentridge supports residents through daily life and care, creating human connections with empathy during vulnerable moments. The role involves learning about residents’ interests and abilities, collaborating on appropriate engagement plans, and implementing those plans patiently. The Support Partner prepares and maintains resident and shared spaces for daily activities and routines, partners with residents throughout the day, documents care and changes in condition, and assists with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a full-time position in Kent, Ohio, with a 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. schedule. The two-week schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in Week 1, and Monday, Saturday, and Sunday in Week 2. Pay is $18.25–$27.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Have a positive and energetic attitude and a strong interest in residents.
Possess computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
Be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents, especially during vulnerable moments.
Observe residents to learn about their interests, abilities, and individual characteristics.
Collaborate on resident engagement plans and implement strategies patiently.
Prepare resident and shared spaces for daily activities and routines, including dining areas, event spaces, and resident rooms.
Partner with residents in daily life from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
