Membership Sales Desk Part Time
About The Position
The Membership Sales Desk team member promotes and sells BJ’s membership programs, supporting acquisition, renewal, upgrades, and cross-selling. The role also provides member service for membership and co-branded credit card questions and applications, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and order pickups. The team member works toward business-established benchmarks while following club policies and procedures and delivering a friendly, efficient member experience. This role involves frequent stationary work on hard surfaces, with occasional bending, handling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and examining or scanning merchandise. It is based indoors, with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises and occasional contact with cleaning agents. Lifting up to 50 pounds is occasionally required; moving heavier or awkward objects may be required with assistance.

Responsibilities
- Promote BJ’s membership value proposition, including acquisition, retention, member perks, and member experience.
- Pitch membership programs and sell membership products to prospective and existing members in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Work toward business-established sales benchmarks and results.
- Maintain a clear understanding of membership options and the co-branded credit card.
- Provide member service for membership questions, credit card applications, general inquiries, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and pickups.
- Follow tax-exempt and resale membership retention policies and procedures, including monitoring renewals and tax-exempt or resale status.
- Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating issues to the PIC or MOD when necessary.
- Assist members with BOPIC (Buy Online and Pick Up In Club) orders.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and support their application, compliance, and safe work practices.
- Deliver GOLD Member Standards, including greeting, anticipating, and appreciating members; maintaining a fast, friendly, full, fresh, and clean experience; and supporting club presentation, stocking, promotional plans, signage, and organization.
- Work collaboratively, respectfully, and inclusively with team members to achieve goals and provide a safe, positive environment.
- Understand how to access and read department production or financial performance reports and how consistent execution affects the business.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
