Membership Sales Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Membership Sales Associate promotes and sells BJ’s membership programs, supporting member acquisition, retention, renewals, upgrades, and cross-selling. The role provides service as a first point of contact for membership questions, credit card applications, returns, exchanges, product lookups, and pickup orders, and resolves or escalates member concerns. The associate follows club policies and procedures, contributes to a safe and positive member experience, and may perform duties in other departments as needed. The schedule availability needed is Friday through Monday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The position is primarily indoors, with frequent stationary work on hard surfaces and occasional handling or movement of merchandise. The stated starting pay is $16.50.

Responsibilities
- Promote BJ’s value proposition and membership benefits, including acquisition, retention, perks, and member experience.
- Pitch and sell membership programs to potential new and existing members in accordance with company policies.
- Drive toward membership sales goals and established business benchmarks.
- Maintain a clear understanding of membership options and the co-brand credit card.
- Provide member service for membership and credit card questions, general inquiries, merchandise returns, exchanges, product lookups, and pickups.
- Follow tax-exempt and resale membership retention policies and procedures, including monitoring renewals and tax-exempt or resale status.
- Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating issues to the PIC or MOD when necessary.
- Assist with Buy Online and Pick Up In Club (BOPIC) orders.
- Follow club policies and procedures and support compliance.
- Maintain a safe, positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for members and team members.
- Work with the team to maintain GOLD club standards, including stocking, promotional execution, accurate signage, cleanliness, and organization.
- Understand how to access and read department production or financial performance reporting.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular and predictable full attendance.
