About The Position

The Membership Sales Associate promotes and sells BJ’s membership programs, supports membership acquisition, renewals, upgrades, and cross-selling, and provides members with efficient, courteous service. The role also assists with credit card applications, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, pickups, and general service inquiries. Associates follow club policies and procedures, help resolve or escalate member concerns, support online pickup orders, and may work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Prior frontline or customer service experience or previous sales experience is preferred.
• Results-driven, with demonstrated success in achieving goals.

Responsibilities

• Promote BJ’s value proposition, membership acquisition and retention, membership perks, and the member experience.
• Pitch membership programs to prospective members and sell membership products to new and existing members.
• Work toward established business benchmarks and sales goals.
• Understand BJ’s membership options and co-brand credit card.
• Provide front-line assistance with membership questions, credit card applications, general inquiries, merchandise returns and exchanges, product lookups, and pickups.
• Follow tax-exempt and resale membership policies and procedures, including monitoring renewals and tax-exempt or resale status.
• Resolve member concerns courteously and promptly, escalating issues to the PIC or MOD when necessary.
• Assist members with BOPIC (Buy Online and Pick Up In Club) orders.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support a safe, positive, clean, and organized member experience.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
