About The Position

The Member Specialist is the welcoming face of AAA Central Penn’s Harrisburg branch, providing warm, professional service and helping members access AAA products and services. The position supports membership sales, renewals, and account maintenance; processes member transactions and sales; directs members to travel and insurance agents; and performs services such as PennDOT title and license transactions, passport photos, and International Driver’s Permits. The employee must obtain Notary Public status within 12 months if not already a Pennsylvania notary. AAA Central Penn describes the role as varied, with ongoing opportunities to learn and engage with the team and community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Already be a Notary Public in Pennsylvania or be willing to obtain notary status within 12 months.
• Ability to pass and maintain Pennsylvania State Police background clearance for PennDOT work.
• Strong communication skills across in-person, phone, chat, and email channels.
• Active listening skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
• Comfort using various computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Support membership sales, renewals, and account maintenance.
• Process maps, EZPass, TripTiks, merchandise sales, and similar services.
• Guide members toward travel and insurance agents.
• Become a Notary Public, with assistance in completing the required steps.
• Perform PennDOT title and license transactions.
• Take passport photos and handle International Driver’s Permits.
• Refer members to additional AAA services and products.
• Maintain AAA’s high service standards.
• Greet and assist members professionally and warmly.
