About The Position

AAA Central Penn is hiring a Branch Customer Service Specialist for its Harrisburg branch. This high-demand, customer-focused role provides personalized, face-to-face support to members, helps them make the most of their AAA benefits, and builds lasting relationships in the local community. The position offers a starting rate of $17.65 per hour and the opportunity to grow while delivering service in a fast-paced branch environment.

The specialist supports membership growth and retention, processes everyday member transactions and specialty services, completes PennDOT transactions, and connects members with AAA travel and insurance professionals. The role also promotes AAA products and services and maintains the organization’s service standards. The employee must be willing to become a Pennsylvania Notary Public within 12 months and pass a Pennsylvania State Police background check for PennDOT services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a Pennsylvania State Police background check for PennDOT services.
• Strong communication skills when assisting customers in person, by phone, or online.
• Good listening skills and the ability to make helpful decisions.
• Comfort adapting to new situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic comfort using computers and multiple systems.
• Willingness to become a Notary Public in Pennsylvania within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Greet members warmly and provide personalized customer service in a fast-paced branch environment.
• Assist with new memberships, renewals, and account updates to support membership growth and retention.
• Provide member services such as maps, TripTiks, EZPass, and retail merchandise transactions.
• Provide specialty services, including passport photos, International Driving Permits, and foreign currency.
• Become a Notary Public and provide notary services.
• Complete PennDOT services, including title transfers, registration, and licensing transactions.
• Refer members to AAA Travel Advisors and Insurance Agents as appropriate.
• Promote AAA products and services by identifying opportunities to enhance the member experience.
• Maintain AAA’s service standards and ensure interactions are positive and professional.
