About The Position

The Member Specialist is the welcoming face of AAA Central Penn’s Harrisburg branch. The role helps members with membership services, travel-related transactions, PennDOT services, and referrals to other AAA products and services. It offers varied customer-facing work in a team-oriented setting, with opportunities to learn and engage with the community. The position starts at $17.65 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Already be a Pennsylvania Notary Public or be willing to obtain notary status within 12 months.
• Ability to pass and maintain Pennsylvania State Police background clearance for PennDOT work.
• Strong communication skills across in-person, phone, chat, and email channels.
• Active listening skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
• Comfort using various computer systems.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service or sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support membership sales, renewals, and account maintenance.
• Process maps, EZPass, TripTiks, merchandise sales, and similar services.
• Guide members toward travel and insurance agents.
• Become a Notary Public, with assistance provided for required steps.
• Perform PennDOT title and license transactions.
• Take passport photos and handle International Driver’s Permits.
• Refer members to additional AAA services and products.
• Maintain high service standards.
• Greet and assist members with professionalism and warmth.
