About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes front-desk support, assisting with memberships and account updates, responding to questions and concerns, and helping maintain the club’s cleanliness.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift.
Ability to talk continually in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work around toxic chemicals occasionally.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Take prospective members on tours.
Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, priority cleaning, periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects.
Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
