About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, member account updates, member questions and concerns, and club cleanliness. The representative works with the Club Manager and Assistant Manager as needed and performs other duties based on club needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, taking prospective members on tours, signing up new members, and calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club by completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, completing the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
