About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front desk activities, member account updates, questions and concerns, and supports the club’s cleanliness and daily operations. Other duties may be assigned based on club needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
Continual standing and walking during the shift.
Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Take prospective members on tours.
Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
Assist the Club Manager in counting out the drawer as needed.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating matters to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, working on the daily priority cleaning list, performing periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
