About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front desk activities, supports member account updates, responds to questions and concerns, and helps maintain the club’s cleanliness. The position is part-time and based at the Folsom, California club.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
• Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating them to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing daily assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, working on the priority cleaning list, performing walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
