About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, supports member account updates, responds to questions and concerns, and helps maintain the club’s neatness and cleanliness. Additional duties may be assigned based on club needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for fitness and health.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.

Customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving prospective members tours, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
Facilitate needed updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
Complete daily assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift and help complete the daily priority cleaning list.
Conduct periodic walk-around and bathroom checks.
Help complete special cleaning projects as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
