About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front desk activities, member account updates, member questions and concerns, and club cleanliness. It also performs other duties based on club needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual in-person or telephone communication during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle front desk activities, including answering phones and assisting callers, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain club neatness and cleanliness by completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, assisting with the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and helping with special cleaning projects as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
