About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, supports membership account updates and enrollment, responds to questions and concerns, and helps maintain the club’s cleanliness. The position is part-time and based at the Covina, California club.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.

• Customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and help callers with questions.
• Check members into the system.
• Take prospective members on tours.
• Enroll new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
• Complete daily assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift and help complete the daily priority cleaning list.
• Conduct periodic walk-around and bathroom checks.
• Help with special cleaning projects as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
