About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a part-time Member Services Representative in Covina, California. The role creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The representative handles front-desk activities, responds to questions and concerns, assists with membership updates and sign-ups, and helps maintain the club’s cleanliness. Other duties may be assigned based on club needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift, talk continually in person or on the phone, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests while providing exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Take prospective members on tours.
Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
Complete daily assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift.
Help complete the daily priority cleaning list.
Perform periodic walk-around and bathroom checks.
Help with special cleaning projects as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
