About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a part-time Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front desk operations, account updates, member questions, and club cleanliness. It requires a welcoming, professional approach, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, including the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers and exceed member expectations.
• Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and enrolling new members while calculating rates and monthly payments.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the cash drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager when appropriate.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, priority cleaning, periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and special cleaning projects as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
