About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The role includes front-desk operations, membership support, responding to questions and concerns, and helping maintain the club’s cleanliness. The position is part-time and based at the Palatka, Florida club.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.

• Customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
• Check members into the system.
• Give tours to prospective members.
• Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, contributing to the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and helping with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
